That's right, Miss Samantha is already a month old. How is that possible? I have no idea.
So far, so good. Samantha has gotten over her cold, she has outgrown all of her newborn clothes and fits comfortably in her 0-3 month clothing. She is still sleeping in her co-sleeper at night and goes back and forth between two bassinets in the day time. One is flat and vibrates and the other is at an angle and rocks. So, it depends on what mood she is in. She is starting to really love her swing and her bouncy chairs, and has started to reach and grab for toys. Samantha is awake a lot more during the day now and is typically pretty happy. She has just started smiling. We get 1 or 2 "on purpose" ones when she's awake now and dozens upon dozens when she's asleep!
Samantha is still 100% on breastmilk, which I'm really thankful for! And she has really filled out lol! She eats about every 2 - 2 1/2 hours now, and really, it's the only time she cries. If she had it her way, she would eat and eat and eat all the time. She LOVES Kaitlyn, When Kaitlyn sings to her she just stares, when she hears Kaitlyn come into the room you can see her eyes start wondering around looking for her. And Kaitlyn is pretty great with her.
Dusty went back to work last Friday, but we're really fortunate because he is doing a month of half days. This way I don't have to take samantha with me to dro pKaitlyn off at school or pick her up until January. By then she'll be 3 months and hopefully have a stronger immune system to handl the germs schools tend to have.
I am also thankful that we have a baby scale! And tape measure! Especially since she doesn't go back to the doctor until next month! So, here are her month measurements!
